Singer-songwriter Colin Vearncombe, who performs under the stage name Black, remains in a medically induced coma in Cork University Hospital following a car crash.
The 53-year-old, best known for his 1987 hit Wonderful Life, was travelling from his home in Schull, West Cork to Cork Airport last Saturday when the crash took place.
His wife Camilla and three sons are at his bedside.
“It’s a waiting game,” his spokesperson said.
In an update on Black’s website, his management said: “Colin remains in a critical condition in hospital in Ireland. He has suffered a serious head injury and has been placed in an induced coma to allow him the best possible chance of recovery.”
