The Steelhouse Festival

Announces SAXON as Sunday headliners for 2017 – with an exclusive ‘Eagle’ production – INGLORIOUS and BROKEN WITT REBELS will also perform
The Steelhouse Festival 2017, which will run between 29 and 30 July 2017, is delighted to announce a further set of fantastic confirmed acts. Saxon will headline the Sunday night with their full ‘Eagle’ production – this is the only such show they will do in the UK in Summer 2017. It’s the ‘Return of the Eagle’! Also now confirmed are both Inglorious and Broken Witt Rebels.

Biff, Saxon’s legendary frontman, said, “It’s really great to be asked back to Steelhouse Festival to headline for a second time, we’re bringing the Eagle back to the mountain, so bring on the heavy metal thunder”.

Promoters Mikey Evans and Max Rhead said, “It’s an honour to have metal icons, Saxon return to Steelhouse. Their 2013 headline performance is hands down one of the most memorable ever to have taken place on The Mountain. It really raised the bar in terms of production and we’re delighted the band have agreed to bring it back. This will be the only opportunity to see this production at a UK festival so it’s going to be a very special show…The Eagle lands again at the Steelhouse Festival!”

Broken Witt Rebels said, “Since the start, Broken Witt Rebels have been willing to move mountains to be heard, and now we’re playing on top of one! Steelhouse Festival has been on our radar for a while now, it has so much to offer with a massive range of artists from heavyweights like Skindred to metal icons Saxon. We’re chuffed to be playing SF as the new blood of British Rock. Bring it on!”

This will be the seventh consecutive year for the Steelhouse Festival [The Welsh International Classic Rock Festival], which aims to be the UK’s best value rock festival. This family friendly event has built up a true following and a real heritage of its own over the six previous successful years.
