“The Big Box” from The Little River Band – 5CD + DVD

“The Big Box” from The Little River Band is released on 28 April 2017 as a 5CD + DVD set through ‘Store For Music’ [Cat No SFMBOX005].  “The Big Box” contains much of the music that made their name, and some new and live material too [full tracklisting follows].  The striking sleeve artwork was designed by Grammy nominated Ernie Cefalu, also famed for creating the famous Rolling Stones lips and tongue logo.


The Little River Band is an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 1975. They were the first Australian rock group to enjoy sustained commercial success in the United States. During their career the band have sold more than 30 million records and scored 13 American Top 40 hits.

This box set is a collection of key original albums by The Little River Band, interviews and new live video and audio performances from the band’s 2015, 40th Anniversary Tour. The set also includes new track “Clean The Water” which is being released in conjunction with the Clean Water Campaign in the USA. The lavish ‘clam shell’ box also comes packaged with an accompanying booklet.

“The Big Box” collection gathers together some of the key output of a highly successful band who have enjoyed a great career with some serious high points. With more than five million plays, “Reminiscing”, included here on the “One Night In Mississippi” CD, is one of the most frequently played songs in the history of American radio, the highest achievement of any Australian pop song internationally, and according to Albert Goldman’s biography, was one of John Lennon’s favourite songs. There’s quality, old classics and new delights in depth on this collection, which is a must for all fans of The Little River Band.
