Blue October: Announces Ninth Studio Album ‘I Hope You’re Happy’

Blue October, the Platinum-selling Texas-based band, are delighted to announce their long-awaited ninth studio album I Hope You’re Happy’ which will be released on 17 August 2018via Absolute and Up/Down-Brando Records.  The band toured the UK to a rapturous reception earlier this year with dates including a triumphant Shepherd’s Bush Empire; another UK tour announcement is coming soon!

Known for its shimmering melodies and heart-string pulling lyrics, Blue October boasts a powerful line-up of fantastic musicians and one of the most emotionally charged and magnetic front men in music today in Justin Furstenfeld.  Blue October is Jeremy Furstenfeld (drums), Matt Noveskey (bass), Ryan Delahoussaye (violin and piano) and Justin Furstenfeld (guitar and vocals).

Blue October has charted ELEVEN singles over their eight previous albums with songs like ‘Into The Ocean’, ‘Hate Me’, ‘Home’, ‘Calling You’, ‘Dirt Room’, ‘Say It’, ‘The Chills’, ‘Bleed Out’, ‘Fear’ and ‘I Want It’ from albums such as 2009’s Billboard Top 200 #13 debut ‘Approaching Normal’, 2011’s Billboard #8 debut ‘Any Man In America’, the Platinum-selling ‘Foiled’ and Billboard’s #13 debut ‘Sway. The band’s last album ‘Home” released in 2016 hit #1 on the Billboard Alternative Chart.  #1 on the Independent Chart and #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Current Chart.

I Hope You’re Happy’ is already being held close to the fans’ hearts both here and in the US and is currently top 15 in the US Alternative chart, having been on the chart for 20 straight weeks.  New Blue October music has found its way into countless Spotify and Apple curated playlists including iTunes Breaking Alternative, Digging Now (685,273 followers), and New Noise (278, 635 followers).
